nostalgic but freezes

I played this game a lot back in the day so i had to try it, the graphics are cool and its a pretty good remake, but it tends to freeze up
im 28% into the game now and all of the sudden it froze up on me and wont let up, witch is not so cool

im running a 2010 macbook pro i5
